I know is has been a LONG time since I blogged. I am really sorry. We have been VERY busy. What can I say....4 kids a house it is summer time. I really don't have time for myself these days. I will try to post more I swear.

I may not get any replies to my blog. I am sure you all think I have deserted you all. Since it has been a long time I actually forgot how to blog. Imagine that. I have to update my profile and I forgot how to do that. I will need to ask Gabe for help.

New Years resolutions.

Do you make them? Do you keep them?

I try to. I awlays say I will eat less sweets. I just can't help it. I love M&M's. I may not have lost the weight or gained the muscle and toned like I wanted last year but this year will be different. We bought an eliptacle (spelling?) I can see a difference already and I have only used it for maybe a week. My goal is to loose 5 pounds but gain it back in muscle and get super toned.

A major resolution I NEED to keep is to get enough sleep. I am starting to see the results from not sleeping well and I look really bad.

Another resolution I need to keep is to get organized. Not only with house stuff but with EVERYTHING.

Have not been all that fun.

I love the holidays but I also loathe them. It all comes down to do we have money to spend this year? Sometimes we have a ton and sometimes (like this year) we have very little.

I feel lonely. Thanksgiving to me is a time for FAMILY and friends to be together and enjoy each other. When I say family I mean extended family. Not just Gabe, the kids and I. I feel like no one wants to have Thanksgiving dinner with us. This will be our second year doing dinner on our own. One time we went to Bend Oregon to have Thanksgiving with my Sister. Two times we went over to Gabe's Uncles. When I was younger EVERY year on Thanksgiving I got together with my brothers and sisters and depending on whose year it was we either spent it wth my Dad or my Mom. I wish
I could spend this year with family. My Dad has to spend it with his soon to be ex wife and pretend to enjoy it. My Mom is going over to my brothers house. My other brother will be there as well as my sister and her 3 kids. I wish I could be there. Maybe next Thanksgiving we will take our vacation and spend it with family.

I love BIG Thanksgiving family dinner's. This year will be sad for me.

My friend Stacy has family coming in for the holidays. Stacy moved here because she was a victim of hurricane Katrina. First Stacy is normal ok. Her brother whom I met last week sad to say is not. True Southern red neck weirdo with a missing front tooth. While visiting with Stacy I met him and he asked if all 4 kids were mine. I said yes. Then he said are all 4 from the same father? I stood there for a few seconds. Took a sip of my yummy iced tea trying hard not to look offended and said very politely yes they are from the same father. We have been married for 7 almost 8 years now. He look shocked. I wondered why he would be shocked. I laughed about it when I got home because that is something I have NEVER been asked before. This guy was wearing high tops, a white tank top, a base ball cap, gold chain, and acid washed jeans. I have NEVER really been to the south for a long time. I visited my Dad in Arkansas (married a woman and she has gone crazy). He is leaving her. Lets leave it a that. It is a long story. Met people there with missing teeth as well. What is with Southern people and missing teeth?

I guess some southern mothers have multiple children from different fathers there in Louisiana.

Taking the kids to Picture people for Christmas pictures. You say fun and easy. I say stressful. It is not easy to get 4 kids to stay put and SMILE. We are finally done with pictures. Every year we have dealt with a child screaming on Santa's lap. Melissa was actually fine when she was a baby and Sean did not cry his first time since he was just 1 month old. After the kids hit a certain age all hell breaks loose and the water works start. It makes an awesome picture but just once I would like a perfect Santa picture. The girls did fine. They are 8 and 5. Sean who is 3 talked about seeing Santa all week and told us MANY times I am going to ask Santa for this and that. Yet as soon as it is time to sit on his nap he screams. He sat on his lap anyway. When the picture was over Sean looked at Santa and said I was a Star Wars toys. Then he hugged Santa and said I love you. Why did he cry? I don't know. Jacob who is 10 months cried because he has a thing about strangers as most babies do. So this year we had two cryers. Oh well.

Holiday time means Jones Soda comes out with the limited edition holiday soda pack. I saw it and bought it. The flavors of soda in this pack are turkey and gravy, wild herb stuffing, brussel sprout, cranberry and pumpkin pie. We tried them. Yes we drank them. And WOW! The only soda's worth drinking are cranberry and the pumpkin pie. Turkey and gravy, wild herb stuffing and the brussel sprout. We DO not recommend to ANYONE. The brussel sprout soda was the worst one. I gagged. We washed the glass bottles and will save them. It was a fun thing to do. I can actually say I tied the Jones limited edition holiday soda pack.

That's all for now. I am sure I will have more holiday blogs. I will actually attempt to go out early in the morning the day after Thanksgiving and shop. I have never done this before so I am EXCITED.

The other day the girls had their radio on. I guess I need to sensor their channels and maybe leave it on Radio Disney. Kelly comes out and starts dancing (shaking her bootie) and sings "my lovely lady lumps" from black Eyed Peas. I know that is not the title of the song. That is what she sang. Those of you who have not heard that song before the girl in the song is talking about her boobs.

All I did was cover my ears and say "lalalalalalalalala I did not hear that, I did not hear that."

We went to Target today and while walking by the soda section Melissa saw Halloween soda. She ran to tell me about it. I walked over to it and saw that it was Jones Soda. Limited edition Halloween flavors. Candy Corn and Caramel Apple flavors. I told Melissa we could get them and thought it would be a nice treat for the kids. While putting groceries away tonight I thought to myself "I wonder if the soda is any good." I tried the caramel apple flavor and to my surprise is IS pretty tasty.

I am now excited about any Jones Soda especially a limited edition flavor.

Movie day-with the kids

We took the kids to see Star Wars Episode 3 at Laurelhurst theater this afternoon. We had a blast. It was cheap. Only $9 for all of us. AWESOME!!!!

The kids loved it. At the end of the movie when Darth Vador is "born" Sean points to the screen and says "hey, that's Darth Vador." "Hi, Darth Vador."

Melissa and Kelly loved the babies at the end and were shocked. They later asked me why Luke and Leia are all grown up in 4,5,and 6. Now the kids want Gabe and I to buy all 6 Star Wars movies.

As we left the theater Sean waves and says "bye Darth Vador, I love you."

Jacob ate and slept through most of the movie. At the end he was awake and was making a lot of noise but loved looking at the movie screen.

By the way for all you Star Wars freaks out there Episode 3 comes out in November on DVD/VHS (what the heck is that? VHS that is so 80's and early 90's :) ) I hope all 6 episodes come out in a special DVD set with all six. That would be AWESOME.

The funny things kids say

OK so my kids are STAR WARS FREAKS

More my son Sean than any of the kids. Jacob likes to see the red light and hear the noise from the little R2 D2 we have. The kids also have the Darth Vador talking mask. It is way cool. The kids love the mask and play with it EVERY DAY. My girls even want to be Princess Leia for Halloween. But the costume is a bit expensive. I really wanted Jacob to be Yoda but I don't think there is a Yoda costume that will fit a 9 month old. We shall see. I wil take a look at Party City this weekend.

Well one day at Target Sean and I were walking by the toys and Sean spotted a Mr Potato head that was transformed into Darth Tator. I just HAD to buy it for Sean. Sean asked me if it was a Potato. I said yes. And then he said something about tator tots. I told him tator tots come from Potatoes. I think Gabe had told him not too long ago that tator tots come from potatoes as well.

Well being the funny kid my son Sean is he then says really loud....

"No, Tator tot I am your Potato" Where the heck did he get that from?

Sean also gets the line messed up in Star Wars. He says "No, Luke I killed your father".

LOVE Trader Joe's and Wild Oat's

Has anyone else been to either place?

Yes some of the food is pricey but for the most part a lot of it is cheap (for good food). I went to Trader Joe's last night to get a few things. Their wine selection is awesome and VERY inexpensive. They have wonderful cheese to go with wine as well. Who would have thought that a $2.99 bottle of wine would be yummy? I use to think that if the wine was under $10 then it must suck. Well I was wrong. I do know that the more expensive the better it is in taste but when you are on a budget the $2.99 bottle of Charles Shaw Cabernet Sauvignon is the way to go.

Wild Oats is great too (but a bit more expensive) and they do have more stuff than Trader Joe's but there is just something about Trader Joe's that I just love. Maybe it is the atmosphere and all the "natural" people that shop there. Plus on my way to Trader Joe's last night I saw thousand bag man and I waved to him. That guy sure does travel.

I love organic food and just feel great going to those types of stores. Growing up I never got to go to those stores because we did not have the money to shop there. Now that I am married and on my own I love to go and do the things I never got to do. We don't go often because of the kids. We do go once month to both stores (Wild Oats and Trader Joe's) when we don't have a lot of bills to pay. We have a little extra money to spend on great food once a month. We stock up.

Last night we had Trader Joe's marinara sauce and pasta for dinner. It was delish.

Anyone else here LOVE Trader Joe's and Wild Oats?

OK I am a big celebrity freak. I watch all the award shows and watch the TV shows on E!, Access Holywood etc.

I was browsing on the scrapbooking website I belong to and read in the message board lounge that Tom Cruise dating Katie Holmes is all a cover up because he is GAY. I wonder if this is true.

Remember when Tom and Nicole split? Well there is a story leaking out that the reason they split was because Nicole wanted a child of her own with Tom. Infact she miscarried their child. Tom does not want biological children. So that is why they split. Tom kept saying "Nic knows why we split." All because she wanted to be pregnant with his child. Interesting.

I wonder if Tom truly is gay. He acted like a retard on Oprah. To me it seems like an act. The rumor is Tom looked at a file of single girls and had to choose one to cover up that he is gay. He will pay Katie 8 million a year to be his wife for 5 years.

Also the reason Tom has to cover this Gay issue up is because he was caught in bed with Rob Thomas (Match box 20) by his (Rob Thomas) wife and Tom had to pay her off to keep quiet.

The worst picture of me

Gabe took this picture when I was in labor with Jacob. When we got the birth pictures developed I was horrified. I could not believe Gabe took this picture of me. I delivered my fourth and final child naturally (without drugs). YES it hurt really bad. The picture was taken during a REALLY bad contraction. I will never forget that pain. But in the end holding my brand new baby boy in my arms was worth all the pain I went through. Now it is your turn to show us your worst picture of yourself. Come on you can do it. If I can post my worst picture than you can do it to.

WHY do we have to have Summer Break?

I wish my kids could go to a year round school. I know I know that sounds mean but who the heck decided "hey lets give the kids a 2 1/2 month break from school."

Don't get me wrong I love my kids but having all 4 at home 24/7 is driving me nuts. I clean all dang day and at the end of the day the place looks the way it did before I started cleaning it up. What is up with that?

A big stress is poor Jacob suffers at breastfeeding time. I constantly have to start over because I have to get up to tell Sean to get out of the fridge or to leave my candles a lone and so on.

Melissa and Kelly fight all day about stupid stuff. I hear a lot "hey take the kids to the apartments pool." Well no thanks. Not with 4 kids. Melissa and Kelly would actually be fine but Sean would go from the kiddy pool to the big pool every minute. What would I do with Jacob while having to take care of Sean? No pool for me unless Gabe is there with me. It sucks because I KNOW the kids want to go swimming. Plus if I am going to hang out most of the day at the pool I need to get a nice tan first or I might blind someone with my butt white body and I need to tone up my abs a bit too. We have gone out on walks but we can only go to the same place while walking. Up the street and back. I can not wait to take my drivers test. Then I can take the kids to the mall and walk around but that could be dangerous for our checking account.

I admit I LOVED Summer break when I was a kid but now that I have my own kids I wish there wasn't a Summer break. At least come September I will have two in school but one is only half day but hey I will have only 2 kids at home from about 11 am to 2:30 pm.

I don't mind Winter break and Spring break at all. At least there is something to look forward to with Easter and Chistmas. Summer break means (sometimes)long car trips for vacation to visit family. The last time we went on a car trip Kelly threw up in the car several times. I was pregnant and could not help with the clean up because I would throw up too.

I wish I could enroll the girls in some fun Summer activities but we can't this Summer. Maybe next Summer. I looked into sending Melissa to camp but for the whole Summer it was going to be $600 WAY TO EXPENSIVE. That was the YMCA's discount price to.

I know the girls are going crazy being at home all day and most of the time indoors. I hate it too. We have had crazy weather and it gets hard to tell the kids yes tomorrow we will go on a walk and then it rains. I was stuck indoors all day over the Summer when I was a kid too. Also right now we live in an apartment. I am not going to let my kids run wild outside. They can't really play on the balcany either. At least by next Summer they will have a backyard to play in and a community park like 2 blocks away.

Anyone else having a hard Summer with their kids being home?

Breanna's exciting news about becoming a home owner made me want to say....

WE ARE GOING TO BE MOVING INTO A HOUSE TOO.

The house has not been built yet. It will be done in March 2006. The house will be in Sandy built by Holt Homes. You can see the model pics of the house here.

So I have met Rebecca Marie and lets just say she does totally rule the school.

I also have met Breanna. She is really sweet. I want to get to know her better.

The little things I notice now in my every day life. Every time I drink lime flavored Pepsi I instantly think of Rebecca Marie.

Yesterday we were at Target and I FINALLY saw Jones Soda. I laughed a little and said you know JUST for Tabitha I will pick some up and try it. I bought the cream soda. It is really good. So now every time I drink Jones Soda I will think of Tabitha.

got me thinking about the time Gabe, the kids( I was pregnant with our third at the time),and I drove to Utah (another story for another time. I will write about it I swear. In short....Gabe and I use to be Mormon.) When we were driving to Utah, we were heading through the mountains on I-84 at about midnight or so... Well, there was some construction and we were funneled into one lane. As Gabe is driving, he notices three elk running across the road. He swerves to the right, I am totaly screaming at this point. One of the elk starts scrambling up the embankment... Luckily the one on the left of the van stopped, instead of running from being startled. When the elk stopped, it made just enough room in-between the others for the van to pass through. We were close enough that Gabe could have rolled down the window and pet the thing... And it was HUGE! We have a Dodge Caravan, and it was about eye level with Gabe in the car!

Both Gabe and I were seriously sweating and white as ghosts. After all that Gabe and I did not talk for maybe a minute or two. I swear we both saw our lives flash before our eyes. The funny thing is Melissa and Kelly slept through the whole thing.

So the last two were Bo and Carrie. I think both of them are awesome.

I admit I REALLY wanted Bo to win. I voted a total of 245 times for Bo. YES I VOTED. You got a problem with that? Either way Bo will get a record deal. I will totally buy Carrie and Bo's CD's as soon as they come out.

Kelly said this a few days ago but I just had to post it today. A few days ago a friend of Melissa's called. While on the phone for a few minutes Melissa had to use the bathroom. So instead of telling her friend good bye she handed the phone to Kelly and said talk to my friend while I use the bathroom.

I hate the words home maker and house wife. To me that job title is so 1950's. I don't wear a dress every day. I don't wear make up all the time. Maybe once a week. The place is not always clean. I don't bake unless it is a cake for a birthday or for an occational craving for cookies or brownies. I don't have dinner ready on time at the table and some nights I don't even want to make dinner.

When people ask me what I do for a living I say I am a stay at home mom. I am not a home maker or house wife. PLEASE don't call me that. I hate that it says that on papers we have to fill out for a credit card etc.

I also hate sometimes when I meet new people and they tell me what they do for a living then I say "I am a stay at home mom." They look at me like I am not worth anything. What is up with that?

From now on my new job title is....

Research Associate in the field of Child Development and Human Relations.

Melissa- while singing her ABC's when she was much younger she gets to X and sings X marks the spot then goes on to finish the ABC song

Also last Summer Melissa decided she did not want to grow out her bangs anymore and chopped them off with scissors. She comes out of the room crying. I freaked out and yell at her. She was suppose to be in a wedding in August and she ruined her hair. Well she still was in the wedding she just wore a ribbon around her hair to cover her mess of a buzz. But that is not all. The next day after the buzz had happened I asked her what she did with her hair she had cut. She said she hid it because she thought if she hid her cut hair no one would notice what she had done.

Kelly- loves to sing but ALWAYS sings the wrong words. She always messed up this song. Patty Cake patty cake bakers man. She sings Patty cake patty cake bake your man.

Sean has gotten really into the movie Toy Story. We took the kids to the Disney store so they could all get a little something. Well Kelly would not make up her mind about what she wanted for under $10. She blurted out loud. "I want a woody".

I have been so busy. I will try to post more. I want to post pictures on my blog and post my scrapbook pages as well but I don't have a clue how to do that. I figure hey that is the main reason why I started this blog. After all my blog name is scrapping dani. DUH!

I noticed last night Jacob was not feeling well. He started to cough and it was the sick kind of cough. He was also fussy every hour last night. This morning I changed his diaper and clothes and got ready to feed him. After his feeding I sat him up on my lap and leaned him forward a little bit.

All of a sudden Jacob got that poop look on his cute little face. But after he did what he did he is not so cute anymore. J/K He pooped. Now since he is a little sick his poop was runny. Now I know all breastfed babies have runny poop but this was liquid. Not only did it shoot up his back but it squirted out of his butt up his back and hit me in the face and all over my clothes. Those of you who have seen the movie with Steve Martin called Cheaper by the dozen picture this ok. You know the scene where that frog is on the light fixture and he is getting ready to jump on the table. When he does the food goes flying everywhere. The look and reaction of Hillary Duff. Well that was me when Jacob pooped on me. It was so GROSS.

Sean walks over to me and says "gross Mommy." Then looks at Jacob and then looks at his back and says "Jake that is gross, Oh my Gawk (oh my gosh.)" Kelly was freaking out rushing to get Jacob a new diaper and clothes and says "well I guess Jacob did not want to wear that outfit today."

Then while I am finishing up wiping him down and almost ready to put a new diaper on him he pees all over himself and me. Then after he smiles and laughs.

What a little stinker.

What the heck

I am so flippin tired. I know part of it is that I like to stay up on certain nights and watch Law and Order and ER. Three nights a week I stay awake until 11 pm. Other nights I go to bed about 10 pm. Jacob wakes up maybe once a night and sometimes he doesn't wake up until we wake up in the morning. I want to nap during the day but I can't. Kelly does not nap anymore and I can't fall a sleep when Jacob and Sean are napping because Kelly is only almost 5. I can't let her run wild while I nap. It will only get worse too. Kelly goes to Kindergarten in September. She will hopefully go in the morning class so I won't be able to nap at all. I will be able to nap once Kelly is in school full time but by then I bet Sean won't want to take naps anymore. I can't win. I need naps to function. I am NOT a morning person. I really don't fully wake up until 11 am. I think it also is the fact that I have 4 kids and they take all the energy out of me just to take care of them.

I think we need TIVO or what ever is out there that records shows and we can just watch them the next day. This way I can go to bed about 9 pm and feel well rested. What is sad is you can tell when I have not had a good night sleep. First the obvious I look tired and I walk slow all day. The main problem is our apartment gets neglected. Only one room is completely cleaned when I am tired. Other days I can get almost every room cleaned up before Gabe gets home from work.

Anyway....I am really tired today. I am rambling on and on about being tired so I must be REALLY tired. I WANT A NAP :(

This weekend Gabe is working on upgrading the computers and networks at work. Well last night he was talking in his sleep and said to me "Danielle you need to move over it looks like your server is going to fall off the bed". I guess I was too close to the side of the bed and to Gabe it looked as if I might fall off. Or maybe he was referring to my big butt as being the server and it was going to fall off the bed. I don't have a clue but all I know is that he works to much.

Stupid wireless router

We got a wireless router from Gabe's old boss at his work. Well it sucks. We have not had a decent internet connection for 4 days. Both Gabe and I have been offline for a few days and not able to post. We are going through blog withdrawl. LOL!

Hopefully tonight this won't happen again because I do believe today our new wireless router will arrive by mail today

Wet kitchen floor and cats

I washed the kitchen floor today and as usual as soon as I was done our cat goes running in and slips on all four legs and does the splits. He gets up and looks around to see if anyone saw him. He saw me giving him a dirty look and walked away with his head down.

Kids and messes

I love my kids but man can they make a mess. Jacob is just a baby he does not know how to make a mess yet (well I take that back). He makes one heck of a mess in his diaper.

All three of the older kids make messes in their rooms and then because their rooms are so messy and can't play in them the move their toys out into the living room and make another big mess.

I can not get a break. Gabe and I have taken toys away. Yet their rooms still look like we never took toys away. They really don't have that much stuff so I don't know how they can make such a mess.

Kids and movies

WHY oh why do kids find it fun to watch the same movie over and over again. Yesterday the kids watched The Incredibles 4 times. Don't get me wrong I love the movie. Pixar makes great movies.

Why can't the kids watch something else? I admit I did the same thing when I was a kid. I don't know why I did to this day.
