Movie day-with the kids

We took the kids to see Star Wars Episode 3 at Laurelhurst theater this afternoon. We had a blast. It was cheap. Only $9 for all of us. AWESOME!!!!

The kids loved it. At the end of the movie when Darth Vador is "born" Sean points to the screen and says "hey, that's Darth Vador." "Hi, Darth Vador."

Melissa and Kelly loved the babies at the end and were shocked. They later asked me why Luke and Leia are all grown up in 4,5,and 6. Now the kids want Gabe and I to buy all 6 Star Wars movies.

As we left the theater Sean waves and says "bye Darth Vador, I love you."

Jacob ate and slept through most of the movie. At the end he was awake and was making a lot of noise but loved looking at the movie screen.

By the way for all you Star Wars freaks out there Episode 3 comes out in November on DVD/VHS (what the heck is that? VHS that is so 80's and early 90's :) ) I hope all 6 episodes come out in a special DVD set with all six. That would be AWESOME.

I love that area. I wish we lived over there. You are so lucky.

The kids want to see Madagascar soon. Maybe we will take them to see it in a few weeks. We should meet up sometime. Maybe Gabe and I can have a date night and get the kids a babysitter and we can meet up there and see a movie.

When Loo and I went to Star Wars III this little kid next to me was saving the empty seat between us with a Darth Vader helmet. He left it there until Darth Vader is 'born' in the movie, at which point he promptly put it on, and kept it on all the way out into the parking lot. Why do kids love him so much? He's supposed to be the bad guy.

Maybe it's because Mark Hamill was such a weenie.

dani, i thought of you last night when jon and i went to the laurelhurst and saw "Fantastic 4." the movie wasn't too hot, but it really is just a great theatre.

Tabitha,

Gabe wants to see that movie really bad. I will tell him it is not that great. Maybe he will wait until it is out to rent.

What I think is great is the fact that you can by a beer at the theater. That is AWESOME.

I toally wanted to buy one when we were there watching Star Wars. Gabe said "only you would want to drink a beer in the afternoon." I was like "Hey, it is Saturday." I didn't get one because I was driving home.

Great place. I love it.

BSC-

Story about the kid. That is so cute.

Yes I agree Mark Hamill is a weanie and he sure is ugly. He has not aged well at all.

it's not that the flick sucked at all. it was a super hero movie and i LOVE super hero movies. it was definitely better than the HULK (one of the worst ever!). the acting could have been better, the plot was quite simple and not once did i ever fear that the fantastic four wouldn't make it alive. buuut . . . jessica alba is hot, it is a super hero movie and they have special powers and jessica alba is hot. so, it would be worth watching . . . i'm just glad we got in for free. i would have hated it if we had to pay for it. but jessica alba is hot, so i don't mind having seen it.

spiderman is waaaay better.

mark hamill hasn't aged well because he had a facially disfiguring accident. he's had LOTS of reconstructive surgery.

i actually liked fantastic 4. i didn't love it, but it was fun. i'd recommend it. just don't go in thinking you're going to be wowed.

I didn't know Mark Hamill got into an accident and it disfigured his face. When did this happen? I admit he was pretty hot during Star Wars.

Also Harrison Ford looks better now then he did during Star Wars.

When we move into the house and we buy all the Star Wars movies we are going to have a Star Wars watching party. Just letting you all know now.

I don't know what it is about Star Wars. It is just a movie. I don't get REAL excited over a movie. When the Star Wars movie starts up I just get SO EXCITED and I HAVE to watch it.
